NIÑOS ENCANTADOS DE LA BARRA DE POTOSÍ, A.C.

Niños Encantados de La Barra de Potosí A.C. is a not-for-profit civil association made up of most of the residents of La Barra de Potosí for the benefit of our children. We work with the teachers of all our three schools as well as directly in our Children's Library. We also work with the other existing village institutions such as our Casa de Salud. Working this way, we can distribute from within the village community such things as school supplies, medical supplies or clothing equally to all the children; and in the case of clothing, discreetly to those most in need, protecting the dignity and sense of fairness to all. In the case of the schoool supplies distribution, we are careful that our distributions are given in equal packets to all our 120 children and to their teachers.

Our intent is to offer an opportunity to our generous and thoughtful visitors to provide help to the local community they are affecting through the impact of tourism without undermining independence, work ethic and self esteem of the individuals and our community at large.

Books in Spanish, school supplies, art supplies and just about anything you might with your special experience and talents bring, will be gratefully received and put to good use.

I am the English-speaking contact person for Niños Encantados de La Barra de Potosí A.C. Anyone interested in joining us and helping the children of La Barra through our various projects or to leave donations of supplies may contact me. I will be very happy to provide information. Many thanks!

1er. CIRCUITO DE CICLISMO IXTAPA-ZIHUATANEJO

EL BICICLAN DE ZIHUATANEJO DE AZUETA, PATROCINADORES Y COLABORADORES CONVOCAN A TODOS LOS CICLISTAS A PARTICIPAR EN EL 1er CIRCUITO DE CICLISMO IXTAPA-ZIHUATANEJO 2010, LO LLEVAREMOS A CABO BAJO LAS SIGUIENTES BASES:

FECHA Y LUGAR: 12 de septiembre, a las 9:00 hrs. En el paseo de los viveros frente al colegio EURO.

CATEGORIAS: I.- Libre Varonil - Montaña .- (5 vueltas al circuito) 30 km - Ruta .- (8 vueltas al circuito) 48 km II.- Libre Femenil - Montaña .- (5 vueltas al circuito) 30 km.

INFORMES E INSCRIPCIONES: Estarán abiertas en Bi-Zihuanas a partir de la publicación de la presente Convocatoria hasta media hora antes de que inicie la competencia.

PREMIACION: $500 al primer lugar de cada categoría.

PARTICIPACION: Podrán participar todos los corredores que se encuentren en óptima condición física y mental, así mismo, deberán tener su bicicleta en perfecto estado mecánico. Al momento de inscribirse, será responsabilidad del competidor asumir por su cuenta todos los riesgos que implican su participación en éste evento de ciclismo, deslindando al Comité Organizador de cualquier responsabilidad como consecuencia de su participación.

SEGURIDAD VIAL y SERVICIO MEDICO EMERGENTE: Estarán a cargo de transito Municipal y de la Cruz Roja.

REGLAMENTO: No podrán participar los ciclistas que no cumplan con los mínimos requisitos de seguridad, como son el uso de casco rígido y guantes. Serán descalificados aquellos corredores que no observen la normatividad del JUEGO LIMPIO.

JUECES: Serán designados por el Comité Organizador y su decisión será inapelable.

CUOTA DE RECUPERACIÓN: $100 m.n., incluye playera conmemorativa, número para la bicicleta e hidratantes en zona de meta.
