We just returned from beautiful Zihua and had a wonderful time, staying at Villas San Sebastian. We had traveled LAX to Zihua nonstop via Delta. Luis Valle and Mario were most helpful and the property is well-maintained and close to La Ropa. We stayed in Units 2-3 and appreciated the large patio for the six of us to gather for breakfast and nightly drinks! We spent some time by the pool, which was very relaxing, as well as at La Ropa, after the New Year's crowds left. We had lunch at La Perla (pretty good) and dinners at Atoles y Tamales Any (fabulous and great service), Kau Kan (for New Year's--a little overpriced, but good food), Il Mare (not very good and slow service, but great view) and Bandidos (good food and fun!). We took the board's advice and hired Hector Olea for a snorkeling trip to Manzanillo Bay, which was wonderful. Hector made home-make ceviche for us and provided beer, soft drinks, water and snorkeling gear. We also did a taxi trek to Barra de Potosi for the day and had wonderful fresh red snapper at La Condesa. The locat1on of Villas San Sebastian and the views will lure us to return, as well as the kindness of Luis and his staff. He even arranged a great masseuse (Josefina) to come to our rooms for 4 massages! We had great weather, the people were wonderful (even though I practiced my elementary Spanish) and we felt rested and refreshed when we returned. Thanks to all on this board who helped us with deciding where to stay and what to do/where to eat!
