Kind of defeats the purpose of the Message Board, though, if I don't know what places people are recommending to others.

Rob, you need to recognize that your list of recommended places and that of many of us local residents (and I include the six month a year snowbirds) are very, very different and when we recommend something you don't like we get insulted so . . .

Insulted? Hardly. But apparently you prefer to insist you know more than you do and you're willing to risk the integrity of our visitors more than I am. If I don't list all your favorite places, it may be an oversight or there may be a very good reason. Feel free to ask. The fact that I even have to have this discussion is somewhat disappointing. Obviously there are businesses and services I believe should not be patronized or promoted, especially by foreigners and visitors, even if many of you could care less about doing business with the proverbial devil. Sometimes the poor choices our visitors make have consequences for those of us who live here. That's why it matters to me how my website is used and who is using it to recommend which service.
