Miraculously, our part of the Costa Grande received a nice mostly light rain for much of Friday night. It got so nipper this morning that I had to put on a t-shirt, turn the fan down and pull the sheet up over me. Brrrrr!! Tourists were swimming before sunrise even while city crews cleaned the beach. Surreal! But then it didn't rain during the rest of the day until right before sundown. But even then, the tourists kept on swimming. I can't blame them. The water's great right now. A perfect temperature for folks from cold places. But common sense should tell them that the water isn't ever clean right after a rain due to everything that washes into the bay from the streets and hills.

We also experienced an extremely low tide today that had the coconut telegraph rumor mill a-buzz with theories.

The rain should continue this Sunday and possibly Monday, too. A drag for the vacationers, but locals like me are loving this rain. It's also washing everything clean, getting rid of some unpleasant odors, dust and grime. But, like I said, all that ends up in the ocean up and down the coast, wherever there are communities of people. Vacationers appear to be making the best of it.

Make the best of our cool and rainy weather with some chocolate caliente and some pan dulce. A local tradition. Chocolate, or xocolatl as the Aztecs called it, is a very Mexican treat. ;-)

They offer a luxurious Penthouse; 3 Master Suites with an ocean view, mini-pool and kitchenette; 8 Suites with kitchenettes; 5 Junior Suites with kitchenettes; and 5 Standard Rooms without kitchenettes. Relaxation guaranteed!

Loved the rain because we know how badly the water is needed. Was surprised to see the canal at the end of Adelita virtually empty the next morning
