The bay was closed again this Tuesday at 13:00 due to the conditions caused by Huracán Narda. Monday we had sustained winds of 26 km/h and gusts of up to 52 km/h, and today we had sustained winds of 25 km/h and gusts up to 46 km/h. We're still getting a few gusts around 40 km/h, but it's slacked off considerably since this afternoon. While folks at La Ropa and Las Gatas enjoyed a nice day at the beach, across the bay at Playa La Madera and Playa Principal the wind was whipping up the sand and creating whitecaps on the water. The blowing sand kept people off the beach, covered much of Paseo del Pescador, and again blew into the plazas and the streets. The streetsweepers are going to have another bad day tomorrow morning.

It rained a bit overnight but held off all day until the sun went down. It's going to be coolish weather this evening, good for sleeping with the windows open and a fan on low speed.

This Friday there will be no classes at public schools, so we can expect some additional vacationers as folks enjoy a long weekend.

Also, this Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. Zihuatanejo's official historian Lic. Rodrigo Campos Aburto will present his new book "Zihuatanejo Hoy y Siempre" at the Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande on the downtown waterfront. Come get your copy, meet some of the crème de la crème of Zihuatanejo, and enjoy some of Rodrigo's interesting and descriptive anecdotes.

Vientos del huracán Narda de hasta 45 km/h encabrillan la bahía de Zihuatanejo, ahuyentando la gente de la playa. En la distancia un avión viene para aterrizarse contra el fuerte viento, contrario a su ruta normal.
