It was a bright and sunny morning that quickly turned into a hot day. Perfect beach weather. And visitors showed up early to take advantage. The bay remained calm as a lake with small waves lapping the shoreline throughout the day. It will likely remain that way for another day or so. Outside the bay there are enough waves of a meter or so in height for surfing so that surfers should be disappointed.

As I mentioned previously, it looks like we dodged a bullet. The storm that is forming in front of our coast probably won't develop enough to cause us much damage beyond some possible flooding in the usual places, if we even receive any torrential rains at all. Even the winds don't look like they'll be very strong. A relief for a lot of anxious residents along our coast.

We had some delicious dorado for lunch today thanks to the good folks at La Jaiba Feliz. We can't thank them enough for the extra care they take to provide delicious meals delivered to our home. One of the perks of downtown living.

And many of you will be happy to hear La Porteña is back open and serving their delicious fare as well as Lety's Restaurant.

Speaking of delicious fare, Espuma Restaurant is a picturesque and romantic place located on the scenic road to La Ropa across the street from its sister restaurant Tentaciones that overlooks Zihuatanejo Bay from a dramatic cliffside perch. Specializing in fine Mediterranean-style cuisine lovingly prepared by an Italian chef. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended.
