Tuesday morning began with a refreshing coolness and with a bay so calm the tiny waves almost didn't make any sound. I kept wondering why I didn't hear the ocean during the night since we sleep with our windows open.

I love our morning strolls, greeting friends and neighbors, enjoying the calm before the storm of each day. The smell of fresh coffee and fresh pastries are my favorite morning smells, and enjoying a licuado with breakfast just adds to the sensations that make the mornings so pleasant here in downtown Zihuatanejo where everything we need is within easy walking distance.

The fishermen have been doing well. Each morning recently there has been a good catch for sale. We've also seen some good-sized tuna being carted away in the evenings. The fishermen go out so far to catch them that they usually get back after dark, that is if they don't get blown out of the water by the criminal U.S. regime as some fishermen have been. Now's a good time to order fresh fish at our local restaurants.

Make your reservations now for a perfect Thanksgiving Dinner at Deborah's Restaurant on Ixtapa Boulevard! Her turkey dinners come with all the fixings and the best pumpkin pie this side of Canada. She has two seatings: at 5:30 and 7:30 P.M.
