Tried Facebook Messenger, 10 days now, no response.
Maybe someone knows the answer: She said the passport office here was coming, "soon." We'd like to have an idea when so as to avoid a trip elsewhere to get passports.

Plan B - place your paddleboard across the road in front of your casa and stop all traffic and demand to speak con la Liz.
Plan C - appear at the next cement celebration and approach her.
I once politely asked the then Presi, her husband, about the opening of a new office/seevice, and was told within 6 weeks. That was 4 years ago and the office/service never appeared. I recently inquired and was told the Feds are to blame.
Part of the charm is no longer getting frustrated.

She usually responds to me quickly on her Facebook page, but we've known each other for years, so maybe that's why.
As far as I know the SRE is expected to open its offices at the ayuntamiento before the year's end. Have you called the ayuntamiento's switchboard to ask? (755) 555 0700, (755) 554 2068

The first number is busy, the second rings, does a phone tree, then no operator answers. Both Saturday and today.
The passport office in Lazaro doesn't answer the phone. Not looking forward to going to Mexico City again to get passports.

The passport office in Lazaro doesn't answer the phone. Not looking forward to going to Mexico City again to get passports.
You have to keep trying. They aren't very helpful, but Lupita got through this morning.
