In the long term a falling dollar is not good news for Zihua. If you're only visiting for a couple of weeks it's ok, you can probably absorb the effective cost increases but if you visit for an extended period, 4 months in our case, it becomes noticeable. We're already being a bit more cost conscious and are watching our spending. We're having at least one less "fancy" meal per week and we'll be purchasing fewer gifts and souvenirs. We're not cheap by any means but we're in our 60s and our savings have to support us for the rest of our lives. Zihua has become a normal part of our lives but if it becomes a luxury then maybe we'll have to reduce the length of our stay.
