My dishwasher broke in our condo

I had a dishwasher put into a property that I have in Troncones. It was an experience.

There were none to be had in Zihuatanejo. The contractor had to go to Lázaro to get one. Then no one knew had to do the cabinetry work properly to install it.

BTW, I went 20+ years without a dishwasher here. My purchase was not out of laziness. (The housekeeper washes the dishes) I had it installed out of respect and concern for the water situation in many places in Mexico, including Troncones. A full dishwasher load consumes less water than hand washing.

In fact, my “workload” has increased because my housekeeper is still not really comfortable with a dishwasher, so I take in most of that responsibility.

I worked in several restaurants and in the Navy where washing dishes with a monster dishwasher affectionately known in the trade as a "dragon" was part of the job. Haven't had a dishwasher since moving to Mexico. We use very little water washing by hand. You don't need to run water at full blast or use excessive soap to wash by hand. I'm with your housekeeper on this. ;-)
