Airport Taxi and Airport ATM

You do decline the exchange rate. Forget which one we used but had we accepted it the”mark-up” was 18%.

Taxi - I have assumed since the airport taxi rate is so very very high that the driver shares in it and there is no need for a tip. Correct or does the government grab almost all of it?

ATM - Any additional advice on using except for the standard to decline the low initially offer exchange rate.

You are correct. There is no need to tip the driver. They are paid well for their excellent services.

There is a combi outside the airport parking lot that takes you to Centro Zihuatanejo. There is also a combi outside the airport parking lot that will take you to Barra de Potosi.

As of this writing, Inbursa Bank across from Los Braseros has the lowest ATM fee at MXN$22 pesos. The Telcel store in Ixtapa has an Ibursa ATM that advertises MXN$19 pesos but I didn't try it. It may just be they haven't updated the sign because their fee recently went from MXN$19 pesos to MXN$22 pesos.
