Went swimming in La Madera Wednesday late afternoon - the water is alternately comfortable and jacuzzi-hot. But, if you drop your feet down, the water is cooler. Meanwhile, the panteón at La Madera is full of white spray paint in preparation for the remodel. All the adoquines are gone, and the walkway has been leveled.

Yeah, I saw it this morning.

The illegal actions taken today by the U.S. military in the Pacific Ocean killing two men in a fishing boat endanger the lives of people from the USA and those who look like them. What is also extremely concerning is that U.S. military personnel are now following obvious unlawful orders. Even if the people on the boats are smugglers, which isn't a capital offense, they could easily be victims of narcos who threaten and kidnap family members to get people to do what they want. Killing them is cold-blooded murder. And President Petro of Colombia is absolutely correct to call out the criminal and illegitimate U.S. president for it.

This Wednesday morning was much milder than previous days, though it still got quite hot during much of the day. This evening is not so bad. Not cool, but comfortable out, and the temperature is expected to dip down to 24°C overnight. Nice!

The water temperature has dropped to 29.4°C, which is normal for this time of year. Still warm enough for locals to swim comfortably. The bay remains calm, and the entire coast is frustrating for surfers at the moment with no waves over a meter.

There's very little chance of rain in the forecast. We're back to having to water our outdoor plants again.

Our area's tourist season officially begins next week with a charter flight arriving from Calgary. Let's hope that it's full and that everyone enjoys themselves and tells their family, friends and neighbors!
