Lupita and I had to skip our Thanksgiving Dinner at Deborah's this year because Lupita came down with a bug. Bummer. We hope everyone else who participated enjoyed their Thanksgiving Dinner!

This Friday evening there's going to be another Fandango Costeño in Plaza del Artista at 6:30 with music by Los Palaperos de la Costa Grande. Come enjoy the wonderful folkloric music and dancing. Guaranteed not to disappoint!

Whales are arriving along our coast, and they've been spotted at the mouth of the bay several times in the past couple of weeks. Females are giving birth and seeking places to allow their young to grow some and get their sea legs before the long journey home. Last year late in the season a whale gave birth in our bay and spent about a month in the bay feeding it and teaching it to swim and jump. It's good to see them making a comeback! Whale watching season doesn't officially begin until December 15, and experts advise that we not cause them stress by getting close to observe them.

For an unforgettable and fun experience, I highly recommend a diving trip with my dear friend Thierry from Carlo Scuba based at Playa Las Gatas. Thierry is a 3rd generation local diver, and no one knows our local waters better than he does. He offers exciting guided tours of the best dive spots around as well as instruction and certification.
