Your concern about boat waste being dumped in the bay is real.

Liberty, a sail boat, was anchored across the bay from you with a full time liveaboard for several years until it sunk last year. The boat was not moved for at least 3 years, so obviously all of the waste went into the bay.

Very concerning.

Apparently neither the ayuntamiento nor the Capitanía del Puerto care. Truly disappointing. This has gone on for decades with absolutely no change in policy or position from either entity.

But hey! Did you hear the mayor bragging about how Lázaro Cárdenas is getting a new modern hospital? Like she had something to do with it and we should all be elated. I hate overpaid politicians who only simulate their jobs while enriching themselves and feeding crap to the public.

A big thank you to Teddy whom we came across this Thursday morning while walking our dog. Thank you for the kind words, amigo. You made my day.

It didn't get quite as cool this Thursday morning as previous days. No sign of any fog at La Ropa either as there had been for a couple of days. It was simply another absolutely picture-postcard-perfect day. We certainly are fortunate along the Costa Grande.

There aren't many sailboats visiting us so far. Several have been anchored for weeks without moving, and I'm concerned they're emptying their waste into the bay. A shame the Capitanía del Puerto doesn't pay closer attention, designate anchoring areas, or provide any guidance, rules or services for visitors who arrive by boat. They remind me of the military from my enlisted days, always look busy and important while doing mostly nothing. At least we didn't follow unlawful orders back then.

Rain clouds were visible in the sierra and to our southeast late this Thursday afternoon. Rain and winds have been reported in the sierra, and rain is still possible locally. Keeping fingers crossed. Highly unlikely, but you never know. I can recall years back where it's rained for days and weeks during January and February. It happens, just not very often.
