Chairs on La Ropa (reply)

Many years ago when we were in our RV, we liked to sit on the beach and bake ourselves. We were parked behind el pirata, so experienced what you are.

We settled for sitting in front of casa de los pajaros, the house next to la arena. Loved it!!! Actually bought a weimaraner puppy from them.

Learned that we could leave our Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella where we parked the RV.

Then we bought a house and have been here for 9 years. We still occasionally pull out the chairs and umbrella, fill the cooling compartment with non glass drinks and food and spend the afternoon on the beach!!!

Something you might consider doing. Working within the system without stress.

Chairs on La Ropa (reply)

We use to go to Patys but I understand they are closed. Is there anywhere else on La Ropa where you can sit on the chairs on the beach and not pay for the chair. We plan on going early and staying for lunch. Any recommendations?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Rossy's. Always our favorite venue along with the Catalina where we get a bit of much-appreciated special treatment.

Once Rossy's,(and Paty's as well), were forced - presumably by those assinine Blue Flag rules & regs - to remove their lounge chairs, both spots lost a lot of their appeal. Rossy's always crammed their customers together like sardines, but now, without the lounge chairs, it's even worse. The best option to avoid the crush at Rossy's is to sit upstairs.

(How La Perla still gets away with it is a mystery, but I hate like hell to have to pay for a spot on the beach.)
