I like what David Byrne is doing, and I like what Natalia Lafourcade does, but especially I just love the collaborative effort by a Brit with Mexicans and Mexican culture. More proof that ¡México está de moda! The graphics were David's, by the way.

Not much to call coolish about this Sunday morning. The sun seemed to warm everything up before it even broke the horizon. There was barely a breeze today to cool down beachgoers, and the beaches were again full to the brim. But the bus people left earlier in the day, so along the waterfront this evening the crowds were mostly locals and middle-class visitors, the latter being urgently needed by our community, though none of our tourism offices appear to be actively seeking to attract. They just count warm bodies and post cifras alegres.

There's almost no wave action for the moment. Surfing is possible, but nothing consistent or spectacular. But it looks like next weekend for Día de las Madresthere will be swells over 2 meters along our coast, so tell momma to grab her board.

We enjoyed delicious bolillos relleno de puerco for breakfast with fresh OJ for breakfast. We get our juice from Carmelo's at the mercado. And for lunch we enjoyed fillets of fresh sierra so fresh it was swimming the night before. We are so fortunate for the delicious foods we enjoy in our region. One of the best things about living in Mexico is the food.

Checo Pérez didn't do too well in Miami today, but it was a fun race to watch.

The official long weekend is over. It's back to "normal" life this Monday. But since Tuesday is a school holiday for Cinco de Mayo, let's see how many families enjoy a couple more days of vacation.

Located in one of the most peaceful areas of our community, this is a place to feel relaxed and at home. (click to enlarge photo)
