Thanks. Don't think we need a notaria, we just finished with one to get our deed redone and it wasn't offered when we asked.

They're who do wills and keep them on file here in Mexico. You need to go to a Notaria Pública.

Rob, if I may ask, do you happen to know what it takes to become a Notario Publico in Mexico? It sure seems like a very powerful position. I am assuming that a degree in law is just the beginning.

Thanks. Really surprised that Notary 2, who just redid our deed, and we mentioned to him the need for a will for the property didn't make his services known.

Something that all of us should deal with, but most don't.

IF your property is held in a trust, you were given the opportunity to name who should get your property when you die. Bet most people skipped that part. We did.

If you don't have a trust, there is not, near as we can tell, any place in the deed to specify who gets the property when you die.

Time for will writing. We think that Rob had mentioned in the past that September was will writing month, but we could be mistaken. Also seem to remember him recommending someone that was easy to work with.

Suggestions please? We don't want the property to just sit here and rot away.

We used Notario No. 3, and in September I think testamentos are offered at half price. You'll see notices on facebook and cable news.
