3 Tormentas PotenZIHales
We enjoyed another heavy rainstorm that began around midnight and lasted an hour or so. It sounded intense, and it was accompanied by some high gusts of wind. This Friday morning most everything was washed clean, but I could see where some sidewalks had been covered with mud and debris from high water, so I'm sure there was flooding in parts of town. The rain brought the evening temperature down and made it quite cool, perfect for sleeping. Friday was a perfect beach day with sunshine and clear skies, and plenty of families enjoyed the day on our downtown beach.

We will soon have 3 big swirly things dancing with each other off our coast. Don't think I've ever seen such a thing forecast before. The remnants of Huracán Octave look like they're going to be tossed in our direction by a bigger storm moving to its north while another storm gains strength and kisses the coast near Acapulco. Things could get bad by the middle of next week, depending where one of the newly forecast swirly things decides to hit the coast. I strongly recommend keeping a close eye on the forecast and preparing for the worst.
Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa Weather
The waves picked up a little bit, but still not much. I expect they'll start to grow the longer that big storm sits out there growing in front of us. Surfers should be happy in the coming days, though beachfront property owners along the open coast might not be if the waves continue growing and the beach washes away. Waves are predicted to reach 3.5 meters along the open coast by this coming Monday, and 4.5 meters by next Thursday.
