Thou doth protest too much

Rob, what do you think of Canadians protesting in Mexico because they think they know what everyone wants? I also spend about 5 months in Mexico, but I wouldn't go to a protest because it is not my country and I find it rude and kind of arrogant. Nothing like a smart Canadian or American (a US person) telling use Mexican people how to behave.That's just me. I would go to a cooking demonstration though. And full disclosure, I might have bought several "save the bay get rid of pier t shirts (for the cause) a number of years back, but even then I only wore them in Canada. Public Health care in Canada....give me a break. That's a whole other topic on another board. Thanks for this board Rob, I've been reading it for over 30 years??? Can't be.

Our visitors pay taxes here on every purchase, so they deserve to have their voices heard. In the former British colonies now known as the United States, "taxation without representation" was the battle cry for their revolution against King George III's monarchy, and I believe it's a tenet worth honoring. While they're banned from being involved with Mexican politicians and political campaigns (apparently except the foreigners in charge of Por Los Niños charity who allow themselves to be used for political purposes by local politicians), they're welcome to stand up against fascism, tyranny and authoritarianism, especially regarding contemporary events in our neighboring country to the north. They will find their cause is widely supported by most Mexicans.
