Last night and this Friday morning there wasn't a cloud to be seen anywhere. The freshness of the morning quickly succumbed to the heat of the day under a relentless sun. Perfect for beachgoers, and there were quite a few today. They were still returning from Playa Las Gatas well after sunset, smiling and glowing red with the smell of coconut oil and lotion.

The fishing and excursion boat "La Bamba" is back in the water after her annual maintenance, purring like a kitten and sporting fresh paint and new bumpers. Contact my friend José Vargas for fishing, snorkeling, whale watching or cruising. He's one of the very best and so is his beautiful boat.

I have to mention that thanks to the USA's crazy leader blowing fishing boats out of the water as a stunt to distract from the Epstein Files and as red meat for his cult followers, local fishermen are hesitant to go out for tuna. We were fortunate to enjoy fresh tuna for our comida today, but the nervousness among local fishermen has been the topic of discussion. If this continues, Gringos will quickly find themselves unwelcome and their lives endangered in Latin America. Time for patriotic generals and admirals to stand up and stop following his unlawful orders!

Rain is getting scarce in the local forecast. We might get some this weekend and early next week. Younger plants are already wilting. It doesn't help that our mayor is chopping down trees to pour more cement at the Panteón de La Madera.

We noticed quite a few more extranjeros out'n'about this evening on our stroll along the waterfront. So good to see. Welcome back! ¡Bienvenidos de regreso!

There were 3 cultural events along the downtown waterfront this Friday evening. Quite the place to be! The folkloric music and dancing with tarima in Plaza del Artista this evening is wonderful!
