Aside from the basic algebraic formula that is implied ownership of a cement company, is there real proof as you imply of public economic development for their personal gain? Can you elaborate?

I don't know what you want as proof, and I'm not going to set myself up for a lawsuit. Feel free to do your own homework. If you follow me on Facebook I pass along evidence and proof on a regular basis of their shenanigans. There is simply too much that is known by locals to know where to start to answer such a question. There is a lot discussed among locals that I simply won't publish here or discuss with any outsider. You're certainly welcome not to take my word for it and to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I have tried to coax information out of locals from time to time about Rob's observations. Some will say, "Yes, the mayors' family owns the local cement company," but won't say anything else. Others don't want to talk about the subject at all or will feign ignorance. One individual did their best to highlight the good things that the two mayors have done for Zihuatanejo. I don't pretend to understand or have any trenchant insight into the politics of Mexico. However, I have seen over the years how more and more of the city has been covered in cement and bricks. It was absolutely heart breaking to see the trees along the Playa Principal and the pathway from La Playa to Las Gatas removed.
