After a restful night of weather cool enough to sleep under the sheets to the relaxing rote of the waves, we awoke to a blazing red sky that lasted a few brief minutes just before sunrise. The high wispy clouds quickly dissipated once the sun rose, but then picturesque cumulus clouds floated by. Teasing us again as the possibilities of rain diminish with each passing day.

Thousands of people crowded the waterfront this evening for the Jalogüin / Día de Muertos festivities, oblivious to those of us saddened by the remembrance of lost loved ones, especially those who went to soon. November 1st is when we remember our beloved family members who died without ever reaching adulthood. One of the saddest days of the year for us. For many of us, there is little to be festive about on this day. We will visit their final resting places this Saturday and try to imagine their smiling faces through tears of grief. So please have some patience and understanding if we aren't all giddy about the festivities put on by the mayor.

[image]Villas Los Arcos at Playa La Ropa is a wonderful lodging I truly enjoy being able to recommend. As if La Ropa isn't beautiful enough, this exquisitely designed and decorated lodging is a place one feels instantly at home in. I wish visitors would simply spend more time in lodgings like this instead of cutting down more of our trees and clearing more land to build more vacation and retirement homes.
