Every day I spend with the love of my life here in Zihuatanejo is the best day of my life! She spoils me rotten every day, and each time I lay eyes on her, I fall in love all over again. She's terrific at making me forget whatever I'm doing. I must be the luckiest Gringo in Mexico!

After a pleasant night's sleep with refreshingly cool morning temperatures, this morning we enjoyed a simple breakfast of licuado de plátano con pan dulce. We skipped pozole for lunch and kept it simple with some tacos dorados de pollo with a delicious sopa azteca and agua de tamarindo. I never get tired of our local fare. Food that is always fresh, never frozen.

This evening was another so-called supermoon, though I think it always looks super when it's full. Like a silver sun here in the tropics.

Still haven't heard any skyrockets exploding. Maybe the municipal government really is serious about banning them this year. Wouldn't that be nice. But then of course they'll still hold the end of the year mega-fireworks at several locations in Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa which only underscores their hypocrisy. But I'll still take it as a win for locals and our pets.

I just found out that the Club Med in Ixtapa sold a month ago and is currently closed. Bummer. They helped put Ixtapa on the map. A shame no local news outlet carried this story. I hope their lovely property doesn't end up being another condo project full of what we used to endearingly refer to in Florida as condo commandos. Hotels benefit the local economy much more than condos.
