Well, the ayuntamiento is batting 2 for 2. This Saturday morning we and all our neighbors awoke to disco music at 6:00 A.M. from an event in Plaza del Artista, a place surrounded by several residences and tourist lodgings. When my wife commented to one of the city workers that Plaza del Artista wasn't a good place for a noisy event early in the morning, they acted surprised and said they'd comment on it to their superior. I'm amazed that it would occur to anyone in our municipal government that such a loud event is acceptable at that hour in a place surrounded by residences and tourist lodgings. Ironically, the event was about being respectful to women. You can't make this stuff up! If any leaf blower or anyone with a speaker wakes me up this Sunday morning, their noisy equipment is going for a swim. I promise! :rant:

The Cruz Roja fundraising event at the pier this evening was well attended and filling up when we strolled past earlier. Glad to see so many people turn out. The food looked delicious. Tacos of every kind imaginable topped with a variety of tasty salsas. A wonderful event for a very worthy cause!

The skies remained cloudy most of this Saturday. It certainly kept the temperatures mild and quite comfortable, and there was also a nice breeze, but it never did rain that I'm aware of.

Heard a few cuetes this evening. Not many, and none repeated themselves more than 2 or 3 times, so I'm guessing the rule against pirotécnia is being enforced.
