Dear U.S. Citizens

Takeaway from the national news is that Venezuelan Canadians are very happy with this for better or worse they are partying in the streets.(In Edmonton of all places -14 ) Another takeaway was from a political commentator/professor that thinks a big part is that the Chinese were moving in with Belt and Road projects and the US and many other countries in this hemisphere do not want such influence so close to home or give them easy access to all that oil.

Funny, I'm only seeing "celebrations" by Venezuelans on U.S. media. That must be where Canada is getting their stories from. No one is celebrating south of the Río Bravo. They're protesting in front of U.S. embassies here and around the world. Latin Americans have had enough of U.S. billionaires sending the U.S. military in to take over countries whose natural resources they want. Venezuelans will blow up ports, ships, refineries, pipelines, whatever they have to in order to prevent the USA from stealing their natural resources this time.

No one will miss Maduro, but they will miss food on the table, electricity, safety in the streets, running water, jobs, peacefulness. The USA has no plan to run Venezuela. They can't even run the USA! The old government and its military are still there, and if they can't govern then chaos will soon take over. And no one is anxious to give away their natural resources. Violence and suffering are suddenly in the immediate future for millions of innocent Venezuelans. And they will not be happy with any Gringos they find in their country.

Gringos don't get to tell anyone whom Venezuelans or anyone can or cannot do business with. Their government has made itself unwelcome in too many Latin American countries with their history of meddling, destabilization and exploitation. China has never tried invading any of their countries or to overthrow their leaders.
