From sunrise to sunset today was perfect for those of us who live here. Cloudcover and milder temperatures and a light breeze made it an ideal day to enjoy just being here.

A few tourists showed up today to enjoy this evening's festivities and tomorrow's holiday. This Tuesday evening we celebrate El Grito de Dolores Hidalgo, aka El Grito de la Independencia. And this Wednesday is the official Día de la Independencia. There will be a parade at 08:00 downtown along Calle Juan N. Álvarez. Café Caracol's terrace would be an excellent place to view it from.

I hope everyone enjoys the festivities. Mexico's president will give the famous GRITO from the balcony of the Palacio Nacional around 11PM. You should be able to watch it live on YouTube if you don't have any Mexican TV channels. It should be a beautiful evening. ¡VIVA MÉXICO!
