Yes Daniel´s has closed its doors and will not open again. After so many years and so many visitors.
We do not know all the particulars but it comes as a shock to all of us including the staff. They were just told they have to close and be out by weeks end or before, and that was it. We will truly miss it.

Now, just a minute. This location is simply too valuable for a restaurant not to want to open there, right? Someone is going to want to take over, unless, of course, the owners of Daniel's Restaurant are also the owners of the building. If this is case, they might not want to rent it to new proprietors. That would be their perogative, of course, but it would be a damned shame.
Yes, it will be sad not to have their brand of energetic music anymore.

You are right it is a great location and well known, I know that Danny does not own the property and was renting, I have also heard that he may be looking for a new location but that they are hard to find especially this time of year. My wife and I have been going there for years. The music the food and the people have always been wonderful. I heard also that one of the waiters is trying to pick up the rental contract and reopen it under his name and is looking for backers or investors, let’s hope he does.
