IT RAINED LAST NIGHT!!!!! Just a sprinkle here in Zihuatanejo, though I heard it was a solid downpour in Ixtapa.

Is it still Christmas vacation season? You'd never know. Hardly any tourists here in Zihuatanejo compared to last week. The downtown beach was empty again at dawn this Wednesday morning, but visitors who didn't feel like the hassle of going to Las Gatas (with all its restrictions, crowds and high costs) arrived a little bit later with their umbrellas and coolers.

The Danzón dancers showed up tonight in Plaza del Artista. The deejay must've been a little off his game tonight because the music was way too loud, and no one needed the brightly colored stage lights flashing in their eyes. But the music and the dancing was still great, and we briefly danced our way through the plaza on our way to and from the pier tonight. Oo yeah!

For some odd reason I've been kicked off of Facebook 3 times today with no reason given. I suspect a broken algorithm or stupid "Artificial Intelligence" is at work. I've actually been on good behavior compared to previous days, though I keep speaking truth to power, and shamefully Zuckerberg kisses orange anus, so it could simply be harassment. I keep getting back on because it's an obvious glitch, but man, it's a time-consuming annoyance that causes my Facebook account to become invisible for brief periods of time, so if you couldn't find me today, that's what happened. It appears to be working now, but when I recently replied with a loving message to my daughter, all of a sudden I got the dreaded "prove you're a human" message that starts the whole process over again. Phuqing billionaires and their toys. And some folks wonder why I stick with this rather old-fashioned Message Board. ;-)

[image]Whether you want to go sportfishing, whale watching, sightseeing or snorkeling, my friend Capitán Ramón Olea of the panga Oleaje offers an affordable adventure waiting to be enjoyed. Ramón knows all the local fishing and snorkeling spots as well as what else is worth seeing. His 24' covered panga doesn't offer much luxury, but his expertise in fishing and his local knowledge of our coast and its marine life is second to none! Ramón practices "catch and release" fishing when possible.

There are some who still rib me. No matter. I don't do Faceplant, Titter, or Instascam.

Fu**ing billionaires, indeed.

Thank Heavens for Zihuatanejo.net. It's my only social disease, uh, I mean network.

I hide ads in Facebook. It asks why and gives you a choice of reasons to click on. And three or four times over a period of years, Facebook sent me a message saying that they have not removed some page I "reported" because it didn't go against their community standards (something like that). I haven't reported any pages - it's their algorithm that's off. What do you want for a free page?

They were to be removing group chats starting in January if it was a group chat
