It got cool enough overnight to sleep under the sheets. Had to turn the fan down. Brrrr! Then an eerie fog rolled out of the grove at La Ropa, hugging the coast as it made its way towards Las Gatas and the mouth of the bay where it dissipated. It was all over in a few minutes, but it was such a cool sight, I thought it would make a good photo for the day. Hope you like it.

The herd has certainly thinned out. It sure didn't take long for Zihuatanejo to get back in its groove after the holiday vacationers returned home. Even the coffee seems to taste better again, not so hastily prepared.

We were surprised to see the pier so calm so early in the evening. All the day-trippers had returned and the last of the restaurant workers were arriving when we passed by. Several restaurants along the waterfront were busy with plenty of diners from up north. Good to see. Still some middle-class Mexicans around, too, and it's especially good to see them wandering around shopping and enjoying our fine culinary fare. Workers were slapping concrete around in Daniel's Restaurant. Looks like a major remodel. I wonder if the rumor is true?

What an absolutely marvelous day to be here, as it has been pretty much every day since I moved here over 36 years ago. Time sure flies when you're having fun!
