Every day this month so far we've enjoyed refreshing mornings, cool by local standards. This Tuesday was another picture-postcard-perfect day. And even under cloudless skies, our temperatures have remained mostly mild, more so with the light breezes we've been enjoying lately. Surfing conditions have improved with the arrival of some swells up to a meter high from the southwest. The ocean water temperature is currently 27.6°C, about the same as our air temperature.
This Tuesday was the Feria de Primavera / Spring Fair at Barra de Potosí. I hope many of you were able to make it and enjoy yourselves. How was it?
This Friday and Saturday is the Expo Café Zihuatanejo. Plaza del Artista will host various vendors with their products on Saturday evening from 5PM until 9PM. Definitely the place to be! Be sure to get some to take home with you.

Still hardly any visitors around except for extranjeros from north of the border. They filled most of the downtown waterfront restaurants today and this evening. Even at the pier this evening, many of the folks sitting and enjoying the scenery appeared to be folks from north of the border. From the accents I hear there appear to be quite a few Quebecois here. ¡Bienvenidos todos!
Health officials in Guerrero will be making the rounds to vaccinate people against measles, so keep your eyes open for them set up near banks and supermarkets and playgrounds. Unlike the USA's current regime who is in large part responsible for the current measles outbreak getting so bad, Mexico's government believes in science and vaccines.
For an unforgettable and fun experience, I highly recommend a diving trip with my dear friend Thierry from Carlo Scuba based at Playa Las Gatas. Thierry is a 3rd generation local diver, and no one knows our local waters better than he does. He offers exciting guided tours of the best dive spots around as well as instruction and certification. Fully PADI qualified.
