I'm not sure, but I might've seen my breath this Friday morning. It was nipper! Had to close a window and turn the fan down. Brrrrr! Still no snow in the forecast.

Although we saw folks fresh off a bus hauling their suitcases along Avenida La Boquita towards a hotel early this morning, the area where the buses usually park was blocked off and no buses were visible there. Here we go again!

The bay was as calm as glass this morning under a clear blue sky. A trace of a breeze gradually built up while cumulus clouds teased us from the horizon. I counted barely over a dozen sailboats in the bay this morning. Didn't see any whales in the bay, but charter captains say they're seeing many up and down the coast.

This Saturday evening there's a special event at La Cancha Municipal in honor of Día Internacional de la Lengua Materna. See details for this and other upcoming events on my Community Notices & Events page.

The Fandango Costeño event with folkloric music and dancing is currently going on outside my window in Plaza del Artista. Love my front row seat! Lots of folks from out of town showed up along with plenty of neighbors for the wonderful music and beautiful dancing! Way to be!

Don't forget to visit "Las Iguanas Bazar" in La Ropa next to Casa Tucanes this Saturday and Sunday from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. where you'll find a fun time, the wonderful works of local artisans and merchants, and lots of sustainable products.

Also, the Eco-Tianguis "Sanka" happens every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1:40 p.m. in the small plaza in front of the Vicente Guerrero school, across the street from the Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande in downtown Zihuatanejo by the waterfront where La Boquita canal runs into the bay. Besides wonderful handcrafts, they feature a variety of homegrown produce, fresh foods including pastries, breads and tamales, fresh coffee, juices and mezcal.
