Business services for English speakers?

by Mark from Alaska, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 09:57 (24 days ago)

I need to have an email printed so I can sign a document. Then I need to have that paper document scanned and emailed back to me.

Can anyone recommend a local business that can help? My Spanish is just OK, so I'd prefer the transaction to proceed in English. I'm staying on La Madera, so a business in or near there would be preferable.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Lopez on the curve downtown will print anything, easily. Use their computer and show them the page you want printed. Any other internet place can do the same. Or, even easier, put the page on a flash drive and take it in to any place that has a copy machine.

The next part?? Do it the easy way. Sign it, take a picture of it and attach it to your email. Easy Peezy.

Shortly after moving here we had to learn about how to handle documents easily. It's still a learning thing, like on line vs in person notaries and other goodies. Glad we could help, Rob has walked us through any number of things.

Rather than photos of documents, I prefer to us an iOS app like Genius Scan to create a PDF. It can create single page or multi-page PDF documents.

If I need to sign the document, I use Genius Sign to append my signature. No need for a scanner; my phone is the scanner. No need to produce a paper copy either.

Google Drive's scanner is very good, I've used it quite a bit.

Scan with iPhone

If you happen to own or have access to an iPhone, you can use the procedure below to scan it and save it to a Note, and from there email it to yourself.

To scan documents on an iPhone, use the built-in Notes app: open a note, tap the camera icon (or paper clip icon on newer iOS updates), select "Scan Documents," and position your camera. The phone will automatically capture the scan and save it as a PDF file in the Note.
