¡Híjole! There are already people everywhere! The beaches are full. There's no room for any more. Yet more are on their way and will be here soon. Some who drove here via the Autopista del Sol after waiting in long lines due to blocked highways full of protestors between Cuernavaca and Chilpancingo. ¡Bienvenidos todos!

The weather is absolutely perfect. This Friday we enjoyed another nice cool morning with a few high clouds that blew away and left mostly clear skies all day except in the sierra where thunderheads teased and laughed at us from afar. But it's still at least two more months before we can expect any rain.

The downtown waterfront was full of mostly families this evening. Many with fair and delicate skin that hasn't seen direct sun in months. A few who were quite red from today's beach time. A few apparently middle-class families in the mix, but not enough yet. Sales were slow today for downtown merchants, and also apparently for the restaurants. Only La Porteña was busy this evening with mostly extranjeros. We're surprised to see so many of them still here.

Saturday there are worlwide protests against the corrupt criminal regime in the USA causing hardship, death and destruction around the world in the name of greed and corruption and to distract from the depravity of the Pedo-in-Chief. Locally the No King's Protest will be at Plaza del Artista at noon.

The Eco-Tianguis "Sanka" happens every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1:40 p.m. in the small plaza in front of the Vicente Guerrero school, across the street from the Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande in downtown Zihuatanejo by the waterfront where La Boquita canal runs into the bay. Besides wonderful handcrafts, they feature a variety of homegrown produce, fresh foods including pastries, breads and tamales, fresh coffee, juices and mezcal.
