Visitors were up much of the night wandering around enjoying the beauty of Zihuatanejo into the wee hours. Others were up before sunrise swimming in the bay, whose waters are warming up, currently at a nice 27.2°C. The waves won't be big Tuesday, but there will still be some decent surfing at favorite spots along the open ocean. Thursday evening larger waves are expected, and surfing will be much more interesting through the Semana Santa weekend. Let's just hope we don't lose any visitors swimming who get caught in a current or who've had too much to drink.

The Feria de Petatlán is in full swing. Be sure to enjoy the festivities. It's open all day and into the evening. There's lots to see and do, and plenty of goodies to buy including good food.

Like many local families, we have family visiting. It sure keeps us busy while we try to find time to enjoy being with them while also having to work during one of the busiest times of year for us. Living in the tropics most of my life, this is a recurring story wherever I've lived. It's one of the benefits of living where so many people want to vacation. Otherwise, we'd never see so many of our friends and relatives who live in faraway places.

Usually when the beachfront restaurants in front of our home have private parties, they're extremely noisy affairs where terrible music vibrates the walls of our home into the wee hours. But this evening there's quite a lovely wedding party (I think) going on, and they have the music at a very decent volume so that guests can actually converse instead of shouting. The music has been lovely so far. Mostly romantic songs. Currently a group of mariachis are playing. Our family enjoyed much of the evening on our rooftop listening to it. This is how beachfront restaurant parties should be. A joy for everyone including the uninvited neighbors. Good job!
