Unfortunately the stupid war on drugs causes Mexico to have to use resources to tackle violent criminal organizations created and armed by the USA instead of being able to deal with simple street gangs and other more pervasive "normal" criminal activity. The whole kidnapping of Ismael Zambada deal appears to have been orchestrated by the USA to sow chaos in Mexico and cause us to have to expend scarce resources fighting THEIR totally counterproductive war on drugs.

Over 70 million U.S. citizens are regular users of stupidly banned substances, creating a multi-billion-dollar-a-year black market controlled by violent criminals who obtain their firearms, money and power from the USA. Maybe banning those substances isn't such a good idea after all unless the purpose is to legitimize multi-million dollar budgets for police forces and destabilize other countries.
