Picante Sunset Review
Although I have made many trips to the area, I was never really interested in doing the "booze cruise" thing. However, this year I wanted to do a few things different, so said what the heck and booked a Sunset Cruise for the wife and I.
Great time! Although there is an open bar, the mood on the boat is more relaxed and focused on the scenery rather than chugging booze. I still had my share of rum and cokes, saw the sights, and had some good conversation with the friendly crew.
I definitely recommend giving the cruise a shot.

We were in the same boat 
last year, and we have the same feeling; it's not really a booze cruise but a true sunset cruise. We enjoyed ourselves even though we didn't get to see the sunset due to clouds. And they did have a little boozing it up right as we were pulling into Zihua bay. But yes, all in all it was a good time.

The Picante Sunset Cruise is an annual event for us. I still remember our first one where the sun was setting over the flag and Unchained Melody was playing as a fish jumped! You can never catch those moments on film but we will always have it in our memory.

It's great! We go every year. The owner is a long time Zihua resident & gives a great travelogue as you sail. We've been very lucky to see beautiful sunsets each time. The atmosphere is very pleasant--the crew try very hard to help all have a good time--which everyone seems to have no trouble doing!

In 2007 we went on the Picante Sunset Cruise. The trip returning after sunset was a loud party and we decided we would not go again. This January of 2012 we were in Zi with a couple who were visiting for the first time. They wanted to go on the cruise. Reluctantly we agreed to go along. We had the most enjoyable evening. Good drinks, informative and relaxing. It was a much improved atmosphere for sunset viewing! (No getting everyone up to party) The captain and crew were wonderful, and the sunset cooperated. If you have never gone, it is worth it.
