Las Gatas to Playa Principal...and beyond

I apologize for not posting for a few days. My laptop has been collapsing under the weight of some massive files (4+ GB) so editing has been problematic. I've switched to a new workflow so I'm optimistic that I'll be able to get the editing under a more manageable level.
I've spent a few sunsets on Las Gatas over the past week. Here is an image that shows everything from Las Gatas to beyond Playa Principal. I hope you like it.

Absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see it for myself again in 20 days or so. Love Las Gatas on a Sunday. Great to see the locals enjoy themselves and love the hike.

It was a great place for sunset. From there, you can see the entire Zihua bay. When I arrived it was like rush hour in New York as everyone rushed to leave on the water taxis. By the end I had the place all to myself.

Gorgeous shot as usual, Ward. Can't help but comment, though, on the awful, scene-stealing reflection right in the middle -- anyone know where that scar of light comes from?

I think the b-ball court would be further to the left from this angle. And the big light looks like it's elevated up on a hill. Maybe the big navy housing development recently built right under the Parthenon?

It's the natural reflection from the large condo complex on the hillside. One of the great thing about working in layers is that the reflections are easily removed if you prefer. Now wouldn't this look good on your walls back home in Minnesota?

First, great photo! Second, I Was curious how you get back; arrange a private boat or do the water taxi's make a last run just after sunset?

Thank ypu so much. It's a beautiful place for sunset but I'm usually all alone. I walk the trail both ways. It's rocky Trail but I have a good headlamp. It takes about 20 minutes each way from LA Ropa. you can see images of the trail here: https://picasaweb.google.com/111702768596683960215/WalkToLasGatasBeach?authkey=Gv1sRgCLvcsvWIrbbCYA&gsessionid=Y85UAK2hdwrRq2QKbl6Raw
Cheers
