Andrew - Rob's instructions are right on, and perhaps I can be a bit more specific. After you depart from either the airport or Zihuatanejo, follow the signs that indicate "Acapulco", and you will shortly be on Carretera Nacional 200 (that's the coastal highway between Zihuatanejo and Acapulco). Travel south for about 1 1/2 hr from Zihua (or 1 hr, 15 min. from the airport) and you will see very large signs overhanging the roadway indicating a right hand turn to "Puerto Escondido", or perhaps "Puerto Vicente Guerrero". The last town you will pass through prior to this turnoff to PVG is Papanoa, and the turnoff is about 5 minutes past Papanoa. I'm not sure of the exact Km post, but it should be about Km 148. There are 2 small "stores", one on either side of the turnoff, and the road leading to PVG is paved, one of the few paved turnoffs in this area. Once you make the turn onto this roadway, it takes about 5 minutes to get to PVG. If you have a specific destination in PVG, please let us know and perhaps we can provide additional directions.
