En respuesta a: Old Photo of Road to La Ropa escrito por Craig Scheiner desde (c-76-103-200-224.hsd1.ca.comcast.net) el día viernes, 22 de febrero, 2008 a las 23:44:20 horas :

Here's another photo by Cri-Cri of fishermen bringing in the daily shark catch back in the late 60's or early 70's. They used to bring in dozens a day and line them up beside the bridge to El Almacén along with the sea turtles they also used to catch.

Craig, the photo you posted is what used to be known as El Vado and it was located right where the current pedestrian footbridge at La Boquita (across from La Mordida restaurant) crosses the canal to La Madera. To go to La Madera and La Ropa you used to have to cross El Vado or else go way around the beautiful lagoon and estuary that used to be there but was filled in and destroyed to build all the housing and businesses there today. The lagoon can be seen in a lovely scene from the movie Las Pirañas Aman En Cuaresma and I think also the movie La Vida No Vale Nada.
