What did we see?

On the side of the road, returning from Isla Ixtapa we saw a small mammal. Brown and tan, about the size of a cat. The taxi driver called it "La Quoche" or something like that. Not a dog,cat, squirrel or large rodent. Moved like a monkey. Any idea what it was???
