I respectfully disagree with your logic as applying the same strongly implies that lifelong residents of the USA who participated in J6 were acting accordingly.

Anything to be contrary, right? Of course you're right. I know many people born here and much older than me who know much less about Mexico and its politics than I do. But Padrino still made the right point correctly, and I'm confident you can indeed wrap your head around it without taking it to any extreme.
