has lived in Mexico for many years now.

I respectfully disagree with your logic as applying the same strongly implies that lifelong residents of the USA who participated in J6 were acting accordingly.

I can not put my arms around that.

Agreed that many years alone do not make for a reliable source of subject matter. Wisdom comes from those many years combined with a passion for the art and science of one's subject and the courage to seek the truth no matter what. The glaring example of this was Dr. Anthony Fauci, former Chief Medical Advisor to the President of United States. He started his career in the Reagan Administration in the depths of the AIDS hysteria when the politicos in power were terrified even to mouth the word condom. He ended his career during the worst pandemic since the Spanish Flu when a certain powerful individual was suggesting that we inject bleach into our veins to cure the disease. Both times, he was vilified by those who put ideology over science and the common good of all.

In this case, Rob demonstrates that same level of dedication to Mexico and its politics. He speaks with authority. Of course, normally one does not want to rely on just one source for all the information about a complicated topic. However, for me, Mexican politics have been an enigma for years. In this situation, I have not found any source that I trust more than our passionate -- ah, yeah, some may say prickly -- ZihuaRob. For that passion and insight, I am thankful.

Please compare this dedication and passion to the misguided, hate-filled individuals who stormed the Capitol. Without any evidence whatsoever, they were willing to believe the blatant lies of the Dictator Wannabe' and were literally ready to hang members of Congress and the Vice President on his behalf. It is not a fair comparison.
