You and I obviously have different views on what constitutes showing respect and what constitutes showing disrespect. In my humble opinion, yes, the manner in which you post shows a serious lack of respect for our host.

On this point, I believe that we agree. But again, I do not pretend to be an expert on Mexican political culture and norms. I ask a whole lot of questions from Mexican citizens and get wildly different perspectives and viewpoints. I read as much as I can from various media outlets, most of whom I generally trust. However, I still always come away feeling unsettled with more questions than answers.

Again, various media outlets have different takes on this claim. However, some of the more reputable ones do verify this statistic. Do you trust the BBC? In their recent article about the protests, they maintain that La Presidenta still enjoys a 70% approval rating.

The Mexico News Daily has an extensive article about the protests. It is not flattering to either the opposition or the President. However, personally, I literally have no idea whether or not this particular outlet can be trusted. (They had a free daily news feed which they then suspended only to have them pop up in my inbox from time to time with a solicitation to subscribe. I don't want to subscribe.)
