No. I believe that becoming a non-resident of Canada is a very involved process that effectively requires severing all ties to Canada. No residence, no bank accounts, etc.

I am happy to remain a citizen and maintain my residence in Canada. I live in Canada about seven months of the year and live in Mexico about five months.
