Good article to bring to the attention of board readers. Those looking for a slice of the pie increases , then the pie itself decreases...not a good situation nor one that bodes well for Zihuatanejo. With it's limiting natural borders and crippling political bungling regarding infrastructure improvements, it's going to take effort from locals AND long time visitors alike to keep the place they loved from turning into a distant memory....Saudade ! Don't have to go much farther than Acapulco Bay to reinforce the addage ..."those that forget history are doomed to repeat it." Tourists that can give back and contribute in some way to ecology, education and social improvements are the tourists Zihutanejo will hopefully thrive from. Progress has many guises, so careful what we wish for. We should all try to balance out being part of the problem by making some efforts to be part of the solution. The fact that there is no new cruise ship pier planned for the bay should give that some credence.
